Our Core Team.
Our core team is committed to managing the work efficiently and making the most of every pound donated. We are on the lookout for an additional core team member to manage the process of grant applications to allow us to stretch gifted funds even further.
In addition to the core team we are most grateful to many others in the Baydon community who have given so much of their time and energy to this project.
Calvin is based in Faringdon and has had a long association with the Whitton churches and is experienced in the design challenges associated with the restoration of historic buildings. Calvin (through Weaver Khan Architects) is responsible for the detailed design and oversight of the restoration works
Martin lives in Ramsbury and is a lay preacher in the Whitton diocese as well as our structural engineer for the project. He has been closely involved in the restoration project since the cracking became apparent in 2018 and has advised on numerous structural solutions to stabilise the church building.
Peter is a long-time Baydon resident and former head teacher at the local school. He chairs the Local Church Council in Baydon and for this project he is responsible for coordinating all facets of the restoration project, liaison with the local community and the Diocese.
Jonathan lives in Baydon and is a member of the Local Church Council. He is a chartered civil engineer and is responsible for the day to day project management of the restoration work and the coordination of volunteer assistance for emergency and minor repairs.
